Metallwerk Electrical Contacts (Pte) Ltd was incorporated in Singapore in 1979 to produce Tungsten Discs and Tungsten Contacts for the Automotive and Electrical Industries.

We moved our factory and all manufacturing operations to Batam Island, Indonesia by 1998. Batam is 50 minutes by ferry across from Singapore. It has cheaper labor costs than Singapore. This allows us to go into full quality control and still maintain competitive prices.

We also added our own Tungsten rod swaging to make quality products for prompt delivery.

The factory has been ISO 9001:2000 Certified for quality manufacture of Tungsten Contacts, Tungsten Discs and Tungsten Rods.

Now all our Tungsten rods and discs are made to hardness well above RHC 43 (RHA 72 or HV 422) with grain size quite finer than ASTM. No. 8. Tolerance is maintained at ±0.05mm. We also specialize in making quality Contacts very quickly.

Our Sales, Management and Control are retained in Singapore. Singapore has excellent communication facilities and competitive airfreight rates to deliver the products.
